Dr. Morris is a board certified neurosurgeon who specializes in general neurosurgery in Petoskey, Michigan. Dr. Morris completed, with honors, his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Michigan, in Detroit, Michigan, and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, where he was honored with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Society. Dr. Morris completed an internship in general surgery, neurosurgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and a fellowship in microneurosurgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.

While practicing neurosurgery in Springfield, Illinois, Dr. Morris held the title of Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
